Your GDPR Rights

You have complete control over your data. Here is exactly how to exercise every right.

Your data belongs to you. LUMINA is built so you can access, export, correct, or permanently delete all your data — instantly, without waiting, without needing to email anyone for most requests. These are your legal rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and we make them easy to use.

Your 8 GDPR Rights — How to Use Each One

Right of Access (Article 15) Instant
You can see all the data LUMINA holds about you at any time. This includes your profile, all conversations, memories, mood logs, goals, life scores, and briefings.

Right to Rectification (Article 16) Instant
You can correct any inaccurate personal data we hold about you — your name, email, country, date of birth, or any other profile information.

Right to Erasure — "Right to be Forgotten" (Article 17) Instant
You can permanently delete your account and all data LUMINA holds about you. This is irreversible. All conversations, memories, goals, scores, and personal information are immediately and permanently destroyed.
→ Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account (permanent, immediate — cannot be undone)

Right to Data Portability (Article 20) Instant
You can receive all your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON) that you can transfer to another service. The export includes everything — conversations, memories, goals, scores, briefings.

Right to Restrict Processing (Article 18)
You can ask us to pause processing your data while a dispute is being resolved — for example, if you believe data is inaccurate or processing is unlawful. Your account remains active but LUMINA will not use your data until the dispute is resolved.

Right to Object (Article 21)
You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests (such as analytics or security logging). We will stop that processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights.

Rights Related to Automated Processing (Article 22)
LUMINA uses AI to generate personalised content (briefings, scores, companion messages). You have the right to request a human review of any automated decision that affects you significantly. You also have the right to express your point of view and contest any decision.

Right to Withdraw Consent (Article 7)
Where we process your data based on consent (including special category data such as mental health information), you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly or not responded adequately to your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority:
